Hi Kristin!

Just wanted to give you an update on our new addition, Racine! She is absolutely wonderful and we are sooooo happy. Thank you again for being so great to work with. It is so evident that you care so deeply for these dogs and it truly show in your puppies. She is the happiest puppy I have ever seen:) She is even great with our niece... as you will see in the pictures!

Colors:
Any shades of gold or cream.

Coat:
Flat or wavy with good feathering, dense, water-resistant undercoat. The smooth, medium-haired double coat is easy to groom. Comb and brush with a firm bristle brush, paying particular attention to the dense undercoat. Dry shampoo regularly; bathe only when necessary. This breed is an average shedder.

Life Expectancy:
10-12 years

Living Environment:
The Golden Retriever will do okay in an apartment if sufficiently exercised. It is moderately active indoors and will do best with at least a medium to large yard.

Learning Rate:
Very High, Obedience - High, Problem Solving - Medium.

Golden Retriever Did You Know?

The first three dogs of any breed to achieve the AKC Obedience Champion title, first available in July 1977, were all Golden Retrievers. The first (Ch. Moreland's Golden Tonka) was a bitch, the others were males.
Golden Retrievers were first shown in England at the Crystal Palace show in 1908, and were listed as Flat Coats (Golden).
Goldens are among the most popular breeds in America and are familiar faces from numerous media spots, including the movie "Air Bud" and the TV Show "Full House."
